Several emails from people who spotted someone at the back of the stage at the V Festival, while the Scissor Sisters were camping it up, wearing no less than a slinky T-shirt (dragon logo). On closer iinvestigation it turned out to be our sound engineer friend Dave, at the festival to do monitors for Goldie Lookin Chain.

19th July '04 - Guildford Festival
Not all the band could make it so Walter (Official Slinky Rep) and Angus (Official Label Rep) grabbed as much booze as they could carry and set off to smooze with the likes of Mohair backstage whilst offending all press in sight including the folks from FHM who took offence at the comment 'its just a glorified w**k mag', thanks to Rob Redwood for calming down the situation! Big hello to the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain who signed Walter's ukelele, and to everyone we drunkenly rambled on to about. Quote of the festival was from Tony Scott (festival organiser): 'You could have played the Main Stage'.

16th February '04 - Album Recording
The album is well under way, three songs are finished with another five with only vocals to do. As yet the album as no title, but the first single has already got the producer of the latest Strokes video lined up for the job of bringing our lurverly mugs to a tv near you...

12th February '04 - NME Awards
Having blagged a couple of invites, James and Walter waltzed off to the NME awards held in London . Much fun was had by all, meeting up with fellow rock stars Guy and Jon from Reuben, and chatting with The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster about how much anyone could remember of Reading festival. After losing James, Walter continued from one aftershow party to another and eventually woke up at 5 in the morning in the boot of his Mercedes-Benz. If anyone knows how he got there, please email us...
